San Diego Roofing Contractor Custom House Project Featured in Home Magazine
San Marcos, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2011
Shadowcrest Roofing, the Southern California roofing contractor, has had one of its roofing projects featured in San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles Magazine, according to Michael V. Brito, President of Shadowcrest Roofing. The company handled the roof installation on a 13,750 square feet mansion in La Jolla, which was profiled in the magazine.
“We are proud to have been chosen by Smith Brothers Construction to be on their team for this incredible project,” said Brito. “They are renowned as builders of fine custom homes. We have spent 35 years honing our reputation as the roofing company to call for high-end construction projects. This particular La Jolla home was a labor of love for all of us.”
According to the magazine, the mansion design is considered Contemporary Craftsman, which was strongly influenced by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright as well as Asian-themed influences. It was designed by La Jolla architect F.H. “Trip” Bennett, III.
Brito said, “The roof features very low-slope sections, which drew upon our expertise. We have done other residential roofing of homes that draw on this architectural period, and we have done historical reconstructions as well. Some people think that on a Wright craftsman-inspired design, the roof is not a stand-out feature. But we know from experience that it is definitely a contributor to the overall stunning effect the architect and builder achieve. I would characterize the impact of our work as subtle, but significant to the whole. That made it a challenging, exciting project to be part of, and I’m very proud of our work.”
The owners of the La Jolla home are described by the magazine as a young couple with three children. The grounds of the mansion include a Little League sized baseball field; Japanese gardens; and the home offers views of San Diego, the hills of Tijuana Mexico, and the California coast.
“You don’t have to have a mansion to call Shadowcrest,“ said Brito. “We are known for custom homes, and we are equally well known for handling smaller projects with the same care and customer service.”
Shadowcrest Roofing is a residential and commercial contractor serving the Southern California cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, Fallbrook, Laguna Beach, La Jolla, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Newport Beach, Laguna Hills, Coto de Caza, and Rolling Hills Estates
